Mount Longboards exists to celebrate the slower side of surf culture.

Inspired by the longboarding lifestyle and the coastal way of life, we create clothing and surf goods for those who feel most at home by the ocean.

Born in Mount Maunganui, we draw from that old-school feeling and reimagine it for today.

Every collection is built around classic artwork, quality materials, and our love for the ocean. Designed to be worn through seasons, memories and years to come.

Our story began in our parents' surf shop in the 1980s. It was the kind of place where boards were repaired, surf wax was made by hand, and Fleetwood Mac played on repeat from the old record player in the back. It wasn't just a surf shop, it was where we learned the value of craftsmanship, community and doing things properly. Those early years shaped the way we still think today.

Years later, that passion found a new home in Mount Maunganui. Inspired by its coastline, laid-back lifestyle and thriving surf community, we founded Mount Longboards to create products that reflected the place we loved.

From day one, we've designed our own gear and produced our collections in small runs. We don't believe in generic logos or chasing trends. Instead, we focus on thoughtful design, quality construction and creating products that become part of everyday life—whether you're heading to the beach, travelling down the coast, or simply enjoying the slower moments.

As our community grew, we launched our online store to share Mount Longboards beyond the Bay. Before long, customers were asking for a place to experience the brand in person, and in 2022 we opened our first retail store in Mount Maunganui.

In 2023, we moved into our current home on the main street, creating a space that reflects everything we love about the coast—a relaxed atmosphere, carefully selected products and genuine service.

Today, Mount Longboards is about more than clothing. Our aim is to create authentic, long-lasting products that celebrate surfing, creativity and coastal living. Every piece is designed with purpose, made to last, and created to become part of your story for years to come.
